Red Bull Air Race - Cannes 2018

The Red Bull Air Race arrives on the French Riviera from 20th - 22nd April 2018.
For the first time in their history, 14 of the world’s best airline pilots will be competing head to head in the French skies, alongside the glorious beaches of Cannes. The second of the 8-stage series will take place in the first French town to feature on the calendar of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

For the five French pilots in the series (three Masters, two Challengers) it will be the first opportunity to experience a home race, and it promises to be a memorable one!

Famous for the Film Festival, this beautiful city on the French Riviera knows how to host a dazzling event and thousands of fans are expected to flock the coastline to get a glimpse of their heroes in this breath-taking air race.

The Croisette will have a fabulous view of the passing raceplanes, with some the best pilots in the world displaying their incredible skills and awe-inspiring expertise.
The first day gives those competing time to practice with test flights scheduled, the second day will see the qualifying rounds and the nail-biting finale will take place on the third day. It is a race against the clock, on a route marked with inflatable pylons, where each pilot will endure two round trips in the fastest possible time.
