John Wyborn is Director of Crew and Training at Bluewater and one of the company’s co-founders. He has dedicated his career to maritime training and raising professional standards across the industry, which has proven an ideal fit as President of MYBA, an organisation that supports the global superyacht industry towards continual improvement.
John took on the role of MYBA President in October 2020 after serving as Vice President since 2018 and as a board member prior to that he was and remains responsible for MYBA’s Competency, Education & Training division.
The last two years have proved a particularly complex time for the superyacht industry, and John appreciates the opportunity to continue to support the industry and its members in his role as President.
Founded in 1984, MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association is an international professional organisation made up of corporate and individual members. MYBA is the creator of the industry’s most respected and widely used contracts, the MYBA Sales & Purchase Agreement (MoA) and the MYBA Charter Agreement. MYBA is the owner and administrator of YACHTFOLIO and owns and runs the MYBA Charter Show, currently located in Barcelona.
