Advanced Fire Fighting Now Available In Antibes

We are pleased to announce that the Advanced Fire Fighting safety course is now available at the Bluewater training centre near Antibes. Traditionally, completing the course has required significant travel time to specialist firegrounds, but with our new MCA-approved facilities, you can now complete the full course in Antibes, thereby saving time, reducing travel costs and simplifying logistics.

Realistic and hands-on firefighting training

Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW Code A-VI/3) is an important safety qualification for professional seafarers aspiring to MCA Certificates of Competency in both deck and engineering, and for those aiming to be awarded the IAMI Yacht Chief Steward/Stewardess GUEST CoC.

The course includes intensive practical training:

Firefighting using a range of extinguishers, hoses and breathing apparatus
Managing fires in enclosed spaces with heat and smoke
Casualty evacuation through progressively challenging scenarios
Command and control exercises to develop leadership and decision-making skills

These exercises are designed to build confidence, teamwork and the ability to respond effectively in real onboard emergencies. Due to the physical nature of the training, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
