The Yachtmaster Examination Review course is intended for those students who have completed the Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore Theory course but are in need of a formal revision of course work and/or practice on the water prior to their RYA examination. The instructor will work with students to focus on their specific needs during the week. If the student failed to successfully complete one or more of the theory exams in their previous course, the exams will be re-administered during this week.

Prerequisites

Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore Theory , Elementary First Aid (STCW Code A-VI/1-3) , VHF / Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (Online) , Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Code A-VI/1-1) , Professional Practices and Responsibilities (Online)

Requirements
  • 2,500 logged sea miles, with at least half being in tidal waters and half being on vessels between 7LWL-24m LOA and all under 500GT
  • 50 days at sea, (5 days as skipper)
  • At least 5 passages over 60nm in vessels between 7m LWL-24m LOA and under 80GT
  • I have a sufficient level of spoken and written English to understand the course content and to pass any verbal or written assessments.
