Bluewater USA offers a Ships Cook Assessment which conforms to the International Labour Organization, Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, in part 8 of the Regulations. This course is recognized by the Cayman Maritime Authority. Food Service Professionals successfully completing this course will receive a Bluewater Course Completion Certificate and a letter from the Cayman Maritime Authority recognizing the Bluewater Ships Cook Assessment.

Entry Standards:
• Minimum 18 years of age
• 1 year of sea service as a chef/cook or 1 year of experience as a chef or cook on land and 1 month of sea service.

Course Duration: 3 days.
Day 1 is a review and written assessment.
Day 2 is a practical assessment of savory cooking skills.
Day 3 is a practical assessment of bakery, pastry and dessert skills

Cost includes transportation to and from culinary facility.
