Personal Survival Techniques Revalidation

This course is designed for students holding an approved STCW Basic Safety Training certificate in Personal Survival Techniques and needing to revalidate the certificate as required.

A student successfully completing this course will be able to demonstrate continuing competency in the required Personal Survival Techniques, as described in STCW Code Section A-VI/1, MSN 1856 (M), 46 CFR 11.302(d)(1), 46 CFR 12.602(d)(1) and NVIC 08-14.

Students must have at least one year of sea service in the last five years in order to complete the USCG PST Revalidation course. If the sea time requirement cannot be met, the student must take the full Personal Survival Training course (1.5 days). Students needing an MCA revalidation for PST do not need the one-year sea time requirement.
