Commercial yachts over 500 GT and yachts employing more than 5 personnel are required to have a qualified Shipboard Safety Officer onboard. The shipboard safety officer’s course is directly aimed at satisfying the requirements of the ISM code for the training of the person holding this important position.

You will learn: Introduction to ISM, legislative background, onboard safety management systems, review of various methods of reporting and recording ISM information, accident investigation and analysis and reporting.
