Boat Handling 1

The following course is taught on board a Bluewater training vessel. Students will have an opportunity to take control of the vessels and learn proper maneuvering and handling of boats in a variety of situations. Our boat handling courses are limited to 5 students. Both courses (Boat Handling 1 & Boat Handling 2) provide instruction including pre-departure checks, passenger briefings, slow and high speed maneuvering, close quarter maneuvering, docking, mooring, anchoring, inlet and ocean operation, and emergency procedures including running aground, man overboard and towing. Conducted on board a 24-foot, center console outboard boat.
