On Thursday 6th April, RONI Floral Design
invited us to their workshop in Vallauris, to spend an afternoon learning about the art of floristry. This dynamic company was set up by the Barelier family’s great-grandfather in the 1800s and is presently under the management of the 4 grandchildren.
We were joined by a group of stewardesses lucky enough to get a spot on this highly-coveted event. During the afternoon, we were introduced to the foundations of floral design, arranging beautiful masterpieces with the creative siblings Jean-Marie and Audrey Barelier. Audrey has so much energy and is so passionate about what she does; she led the way, cracking jokes and sharing her vast knowledge, whilst her big brother concentrated on demonstrating his techniques with the girls, creating striking arrangements with beautiful exotic flowers and foliage.
It was a fun afternoon with lots of giggles, and the team made us feel so welcome and relaxed. In addition to their generosity, hosting this free afternoon, they had gorgeous, complimentary scented candles especially made for us for us to take away as gifts.
The remainder of the afternoon was spent wandering around their creative studio, immersed in a truly unique floral environment, checking out their design boards, enjoying chilled Prosecco from World of Wines
, and amazing sushi platters
prepared by Chef Emma Colvin from Divine Dining
At the end of the event, everyone parted with armfuls of goodies. Not only did the girls get to take home their floral creations, but our luxury beauty partner Eisenberg
and Riviera Beauty Interiors
