Icon Yachts are the ultimate Dutch branded custom superyacht builders with a proven engineering and hull platform allowing for competitive pricing and shorter build times. Located in Harlingen in The Netherlands, their large, dry dock can simultaneously accommodate four 70m vessels or up to six 50m yachts in a protected mooring. In addition to new builds, they offer refit services for luxury yachts and commercial vessels up to 150m in length.
Icon Yachts offer a 62.5m “pre-engineered” superyacht platform that combines a “blueprinted” hull with the appeal for owners to fully customise their yacht from the waterline upwards. The shipyard’s first launch in 2010 was “Icon”, the perfect combination of performance, comfort and elegance, accommodating 14 guests in 7 staterooms with exterior styling from Tim Heywood design. In the same category, “Baton Rouge” and “Party Girl” have since seen the day along with the 41.6m “Basmalina II” which was delivered in 2011 with a GRP hull and superstructure.
It was in 2005 that Wim C. Koersvelt and two associates opened Icon Yachts in Harlingen. Today they pride themselves on short build times, somewhere in the two-year range. They are one of the “greenest” shipyards in the yachting industry and are dedicated in outfitting each new build with equipment to help reduce their impact on the environment. They are honored to be the first Dutch superyacht builder to obtain ISO 1400 I certification, achieving compliance by implementing an environmental policy featuring key emission reduction initiatives.
