This award-winning Turkish superyacht builder has five generations of boat-building experience, and is listed as one of the top 20 superyacht builders in the world. Bilgin Yachts builds yachts from 45m to 120m in steel and aluminium, and can heavily customise its series yachts to the client. The yard collaborates with renowned yacht designers including H2 Yacht Design, Unique Yacht Design, and Hot Lab, and Bilgin Yachts yachts are IMO Tier III Certified to hold the highest level of environmental classification. Bilgin Yachts can produce up to four yachts simultaneously across its four Istanbul shipyards and also offers a large yacht shipyard and superyacht refit facility at West Istanbul Marina.

The Yachts That Make Bilgin Yachts Great

Bilgin Yachts had its humble beginnings on the shores of the Bosphorus in 1929, and moved to Kucukcekmece in Istanbul in 1996 to begin building larger yachts. By 2002, Bilgin Yachts had gone international, with the delivery of SANTA MARIA to a Russian client, sparking a rush of global orders. In 2010, Bilgin Yachts was making a name for itself with four deliveries of yachts in the 30-40m range, like the striking M/Y RL Noor, which would go on to win the Boat International Best Interior Design Award in 2011. More awards would follow with Timeless, a spectacular classic replica yacht that won the World Yacht Trophy at Cannes. M and Elada would launch with aggressive reverse bow styling by acclaimed H2 Yacht Design, and Bilgin would crack the 50m barrier in 2015 with the launch of Dusur. More barriers keep falling, with the 80m Tatiana launched in 2020, and an 85m currently in build.

The Yard

Bilgin Yachts operates four shipyards across Istanbul, as well as a new large yacht-building facility and refit yard at West Istanbul Marina. Their facilities cover almost 60,000sqm, with the main yacht-building facility at Kucukcekmece where there is room for four yachts to be built simultaneously, and an additional facility for building hulls and superstructures at Yalova. Large yachts will increasingly be built at the West Istanbul Marina facility, with the three 80m Bilgin Yachts currently in build there. 400 skilled marine craftsmen are employed across the shipyards, many of which have worked with the yard for decades. Bilgin Yachts carries out 90% of its yacht production on site; the shipyard has its own stainless steel and furniture production facilities to reduce build costs. Bilgin Yachts remains family owned and operated after nearly a century and prides itself on shared values of respect, love and sincerity.
