Titanic II

Professor Palmer made his fortune with his own mining company in Queensland called "Minerology" but also owns his own shipping line called 'Blue Star Line' and it is Blue Star who are planning to launch the Titanic 2 in 2016.

It is over a hundred years since Royal Mail Steamer (RMS) Titanic met it's catastrophic end by sideswiping an iceberg during it's maiden voyage in the early hours of 15th April 1912. It is with this in mind the Mr Palmer wants to create it's successor in honour of it's recent hundred year anniversary. The plan is to build the ship to be every bit as luxurious is the original but obviously technology has moved on quite a bit and modern day navigation systems and safety systems will apparently make it impossible to sink. (Hang on, they said that about the first one!!!). It has been made very clear however, that there will be more than enough lifeboats and evacuation equipment for all the passengers and crew.

The ship will be built in China and the outline of it's design is an almost exact replica of the original , complete with the four rear slanted funnels. The maiden voyage will be a similar route to that of RMS Titanic, from Europe to America and already Blue Star has received over forty thousand applications for tickets. In addition Blue Star has been inundated with requests for job applications for the crew. As yet there are no vacancies , presumably because the ship doesn't exist yet. All in all it's a huge project to face but with The Professor in charge, what could possibly go wrong?
