Alycia Class, 17 from Vence, France is raising funds by organising a sponsored 95km Kayak in Scotland. This is to help fund a volunteer trip to Ghana this August to assist in the construction of a building that will house both a Women's Empowerment centre and a Computer Education centre.
Sam, 21 from Valbonne, France along with 9 team mates from a UK Universityare organising a bike ride from London to Monte Carlo to raise money for 'Help the Hero's'.
After hearing a little more about both of these youngsters, bluewater have sponsored both Alycia and Sam to help them get underway and are now appealing to YOU to help them reach their goals!

The Sponsored kayak is coast to coast in Scotland and will take place over three days in July. Alycia requires €2 800 to fund the trip to Ghana and any surplus will be used to fund equipment for the ICT centre. To help Alycia, check out her sponsor page:

Why has Alycia chosen this cause?
Women's empowerment is critical for tackling poverty and social injustice in Africa. The goal for the women's empowerment centre is to create employment specifically for the disabled and widows through skill acquisition and training. The organization would also like to focus on counselling for abused and battered women, child abuse, HIV/Aids, and teen pregnancy.

Cycle for Hero's will take place over 11 days from the 26th of July to the 5th of August. The route is over 1000km , the boys have been preparing this since 2011 and have created the website

What is the goal?
The aim for the entire team is to raise €10,000 for 'help the hero's' which is a charity founded in 2007 that aims to provide unparalleled support to wounded servicemen and women from the British Armed Forces.
