The
Caribbean season kicks off with the Antigua Charter Yacht Show from the 5th – 11th December, when many of the world’s premier super yachts converge on the beautiful island to showcase for charter.
One such yacht, proudly presented for charter by bluewater, is M/Y Nero.
M/Y Nero
Launched in 2008, the 90m from Corsair Yachts is considered one of the industry’s iconic yachts. Nero was inspired by the ‘Corsair’ series of yachts owned in the early 20th century by JP Morgan, and embodies the class and elegance of the 1920s, while offering all the luxury and toys of a modern yacht.
Nero is the only modern classic motor yacht of this size in existence and is admired for her beautiful lines and classic styling wherever she goes. With expansive deck space over four levels, a 5.7m swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, the fold-out beach club completes the extraordinary outdoor experience offered by this award-winning yacht. An interior of elegant oak and ash completes the classic feel.
This is a yacht that will suit any itinerary, and in the 7000 islands of the Caribbean, stretching over an area of a million square miles, where you want to go is limited only by your imagination.

Feeling adventurous ?
For those who like adventures in nature, volcanic Dominica is a must. Take the challenging hike up to one of the world’s largest boiling crater lakes, where steam rises to drift off across the jungle valleys. On the way back down, stop at the eerily beautiful Valley of Desolation, where oil seeps from the ground and mineral streams paint the rocky surface in oranges and purples like a painting straight out of Armageddon. Stop by a warm mud pool to give yourself a natural facial, and wash off in one of the aquamarine rock pools or waterfalls, rich with minerals.
Back on the water, look up at the volcanic mountains above you, and imagine them mirrored beneath the yacht. The snorkelling and diving in Dominica is easily some of the best in the Caribbean, with volcanoes, craters, chasms and boulder fields creating an extraordinarily dramatic underwater landscape. Dive with the whales and dolphins that come to feed in these nutrient rich waters, or snorkel with turtles through a wall of warm bubbles coming from the sea floor at Champagne Reef.
Dominica is not a sophisticated island, but it is a staggeringly beautiful one, and one that should top the list for nature lovers.

Luxury & sophistication
For those who prefer the sophistication of Saint Barths and the company of other yachts, there can be no better time to visit than over New Year’s Eve. Hear the horns of hundreds of super yachts welcoming in the New Year under a sky full of fireworks, the noise of cheering and music carrying over the water as tenders speed back and forth between lavish parties and beautiful restaurants. Dressed up or dressed down, boutique or barefoot on the beach, beautiful St Barths is a must-see destination.
Or perhaps you’d prefer to slip away from the crowded anchorages one evening, powering quietly southwards in the night, to wake up in a perfect bay in the Grenadines, without another yacht in sight. Spend a few minutes waking up, watching the water patterns play across the ceiling through the porthole. Get up for breakfast, or don’t. Get off the yacht for the day, or don’t. This is your holiday, away from the pressures of real life.
On the yacht, every detail is beautifully taken care of and you want for nothing.
Enjoy every second
Imagine yourself sitting in the Jacuzzi under the stars, the only sounds the water lapping on the hull and the gentle rush of the stewardess pulling the champagne bottle out of the ice bucket and filling up your glass. Soft robes wait for you when you get out and lie on a lounger, candles flickering all around. Perhaps you’ll want to go for a cool night dive, plunging off the swim platform into the soft blue glow of the underwater lights.
At day’s end, find yourself eating canapés and drinking cocktails on the aft deck, watching the flag flapping in front of a setting sun, the wake boiling furiously behind as the yacht tracks its path in the sea to the next perfect destination.
From jungle trek to island sophistication, the Caribbean has what you want. Tell the
bluewater team what it is and they will make it happen.
