Having secured third place in both the 2013 British GT and European Le Mans Series (GTC) championships during last season’s race-winning campaigns, Barwell Motorsport has been hard at work putting together the ingredients for its 2014 challenges in both of these arenas, as well as in other major series.
The "Team Russia By Barwell" BMW Z4 made its debut in the uber-competitive ELMS at Silverstone, they just had enough time to dust down the Ecurie Ecosse car after its Italian excursion, before it was sent off to Oulton Park for round one of the domestic GT series.
This year the ELMS GTC (GT3) class is the most popular in the championship, with 14 high quality entries from the cream of Europe's GT teams, including SMP Racing, ART Grand Prix, Pro GT by Almeras , Prospeed and Team Sofrev-ASP – all of whom have been successful at the very highest levels of GT3 racing.
Bluewater are honoured to support this prestigious sport and support Barwell Motorsport not only in their championships but also with their young driver development. They have been responsible for nurturing the talents of current BTCC star, Tim Chilton (youngest race winner ever) and Luke Hines.
