Originally from Scotland Mig started her maritime career as a deckhand on a ferryboat on the River Liffey in Dublin. Over a decade later, having joined the Merchant Marine, been lucky enough to attend maritime college in Ireland and Australia, and seen the seven seas and more, she gained her Master Mariner Unlimited ticket. She added yachts and offshore to her experience before "swallowing the anchor" and settling in the USA.

She loves teaching and being part of the bluewater team. Her plea to all students - please pre-study!
