Going to sea with the Royal Navy at the age of 15, Ken’s career spans naval command, firefighting with Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, and leading practical marine and offshore firefighting training at Warsash Maritime Academy.
Following his tenure in fire and rescue, he served as a fleet safety officer for Western Geophysical, overseeing all sea-going safety training courses before teaching firefighting for Bluewater from 1993.
With decades of teaching and DPA/CSO oversight, he plays a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of safety and security within the maritime sector.
He also continues to teach advanced maritime safety courses, drawing on years of practical experience both at sea and ashore.
