After qualifying as a journalist and then moving into PR and advertising, I relocated to the South of France from the UK in 1989. It didn’t take long for me to get involved in the yachting industry, working in supply and logistics. I also started instructing Marine Firefighting in France, Spain and the UK with instructors from the National Sea Training Centre (NSTC) at North West Kent College.

I was a full-time instructor with Blue Water from 2006-2019, teaching a range of MCA and RYA courses and examining GMDSS GOC candidates.

In January 2020, I joined the growing Management team at Blue Water and now work out of the company’s Monaco office.
