Master Yacht Chef Competitor - Joshua King

I trained 4 years with the culinary arts academy; I then left to work at the likes of the Ledbury, Paul Ainsworth's and Jude Kereama, as well as other high-end establishments. I have been cooking for around 10 years in total, building up my own style and branding.

With this in mind, I can adapt in any situation; my clients in the past have been from various countries, with many different dietary requirements. For my next position, I am looking for a professional environment where the clients are very interested in their food and exploring different tastes. I am also looking to work in a modern galley, with opportunities to use modern equipment and source interesting produce. My time in yachting has brought me to being a head chef on 55m to 114m yachts, but each and every job has been different, and quickly adapting and bringing my expertise into play is something I strive upon.

The way I run a galley, kitchen or work space is efficient, clean, organised and in a calm manner. I do believe in the modern, tranquil, healthy environment for chefs and the rough, egotistical, slap-dash days are slowly disappearing.
