31m private motor yacht looking for a culinary trained chef to join their program soon.
The vessel will be traveling the Bahamas/Florida summer and then heading down to the Caribbean end of October/beginning of Nov.
Total of 4 crew and 8 guests max. The owners are from Texas and are very lovely. They are usually onboard 2 weeks out of a month, with the occasional (family or their friends). They have a second boat, a 65’ Viking and they will use the Viking for day activities such as fishing, diving etc.
The crew also enjoy doing outdoor activities and being social together. The Viking is essentially going to be the dayboat for the guests so they will often be on there but staying aboard the PL
The owners are from Texas and they own a catering company so they are really into food. The chef will go back and forth with the owner each trip and a specific menu will be decided upon, although they will have to be willing to adapt as sometimes the owner will bring something along or want to eat fish we’ve caught or whatever else he decides! They eat very American - lots of meat, sauce, and are really into appetizers and desserts when their friends are on. They expect fresh baked goods in mornings when they eat on. The other chef is obviously on the Viking so the new chef will, of course, have a huge wealth of information there.
You will be cooking for 4 crew: Lunch and dinner. When the guests are on, the chef will still cook for crew along with breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests. Usually 8.
The vessel is currently in Fort Lauderdale and can do interviews here but also willing to do over the phone or Skype.
Salary will be DOE.
unfortunately, this program doesn’t offer benefits however the owners send the schedule well in advance so there is the opportunity for a fair amount of time off and downtime. The cabin would be shared with the female mate.
