This course covers the syllabus required by the STCW Code 1995 Table AVI/1-3. It describes what to do if you encounter medical emergencies onboard. You will learn: Treatment of burns and scalds, bleeding, shock, and broken bones. Students learn bandaging methods and how to move and position a patient, and also how to improvise materials to help with this. There is a very important practical assessment to the course, where students are required, amongst other things, to correctly carry out resuscitation on a manikin.  This course is not redeemable with your One Account.
