I served for 25 years in the Royal Navy as a deck officer. Commanding 3 war ships and navigating a number of others including the icebreaker HMS Endurance and the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious. I also served on the Royal Yacht Britannia. Since then I have worked as an RYA sailing and motorboat instructor in the UK during the 90's and for the last 10 years have taught Navigation & Radar and Seamanship with bluewater.
