Superyacht Chef Competition With H.S.H. Prince Albert II

Bluewater is delighted to be working with Yacht Club de Monaco to deliver the 2018 Superyacht Chef Competition.

The 9th annual Chef Competition will be hosted at the prestigious YCM with 12 superyacht chefs going head to head to compete for the title of culinary genius.
H.S.H. Prince Albert II will be the guest judge for the final round, with several acclaimed chefs on the judging panel alongside Cédric Séguéla, founder and instructor at Secrets de Cuisine culinary school.

We are also delighted to welcome the following guests of honour to the 2018 judging panel:
Stéphane Raimbault - Two Michelin stars since the age of 24; runs the Oasis restaurant in Mandelieu la Napoule, France,
Jacques Maximin - Winner of the Gault & Millau Guide & Hachette Guide Chef of the Year, and named Meilleur Ouvrier de France Cuisinier, he has notched up numerous Michelin stars since 1974 and a score of 19.5/20 for 10 years in the Gault et Millaut Guide,
Patrick Raingeard - Michelin star chef from Cap Estel in Eze, France,
Philippe Joannés - Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2000 and responsible for the Fairmont Monte Carlo hotel restaurants

The Competition

The competition will start at 11am, featuring 12 chefs battling it out across four rounds. The chefs will be awarded points and then at the end of the four rounds, the three top finalists will be announced.

The finalists will then have 45 minutes to prepare two courses for our VIP panel of judges.

There will be canapés and drinks for guests to enjoy whilst watching the tense competition and enjoying the live cooking.

Secrets de Cuisine

The yachting culinary school will once again be supporting the competition. Founder of Secrets de Cuisine, Cédric Séguéla, has travelled the globe working in the world’s finest restaurants, and will be a member of the judging panel.

Any chef working on-board a superyacht will be familiar with the MCA Ship’s Cook certificate available with Secrets de Cuisine in Antibes, and will know the tough standards that are set by Cedric and his talented team.

Gourmet Deliveries

Gourmet Deliveries, a luxury provisioning company delivering all around the world for superyachts and villas, will be providing the surprise ingredients for each contestant who will then have 30 minutes to create a delicious dish. The judges will mark their creativity, use of produce, appearance and, of course, taste!

Azur Tec’ Hôtel

Founded in 2003, Azur Tec’ Hôtel are the leading supplier of professional kitchens and equipment on the French Riviera, designing ergonomic, efficient and cutting-edge kitchen spaces for hotels, restaurants, bars and private customers.

ATH will be sponsoring the Superyacht Chef Competition and are supplying the work stations for our competing chef's.
