Monaco Classic Week is one of the greatest gatherings of classic yachts in the Mediterranean, bringing a stunning fleet of belle époque and spirit of tradition yachts to race in the deep waters off Monaco, followed by lively nights in the race village at Port Hercules. The 2017 edition of ‘La Belle Classe’ will run between 13th and 17th September, with over 100 yachts attending from the classic sailing yacht, period motor yacht, and vintage motor yacht classes.

The sight of the classic sailing yachts racing across the Bay of Monaco provides an extraordinary spectacle for those onshore, and a thrilling competitive environment for race crews and event charterers. Classic Week is not all about the racing though, with an action-packed event schedule of chef competitions, concours d’élégance parades, and classic motor yacht exhibitions - all taking place in front of Monaco’s breathtaking backdrop of skyscrapers, casinos, and grand hotels.
Bluewater will be attending Monaco Classic Week in full force, with keen sailors from the bluewater Antibes office crewing the two-masted schooner S/Y DORIANA, a classic yacht for sale with bluewater. This 38m beauty came out of the Frederikssund shipyard in Denmark in 1930, with a spectacular 2003-2005 refit earning her a spot in the finals of the 2006 World Superyacht Awards. Now sporting a prestigious Donald Starkey interior with a high gloss mahogany finish, DORIANA accommodates up to 10 guests in five elegant staterooms, with a library that converts into a double ensuite cabin and a large saloon with corner bar.

With DORIANA’s excellent racing pedigree and all the superyacht comforts onboard, the bluewater race team will be competing in style at Monaco Classic Week 2017, further consolidating their prestigious partnership with the event hosts, Yacht Club de Monaco. Bluewater and Yacht Club de Monaco entered into an exciting partnership in July of this year, launching ‘La Belle Classe Academy by bluewater’, an elite yacht training school based in the spectacular Lord Norman Foster-designed YCM clubhouse.
Bluewater has over 25 years’ experience in the sale and charter of sailing yachts, and their hands-on expertise in the sailing sector makes them the ideal partner for clients looking to purchase or charter a sailing yacht.
