This course covers the syllabus required by the STCW Code 1995 Table AVI/4-1 and is not a yacht restricted certificate.
The course is required for those seeking MCA certificates of competency and for those designated to provide First Aid care in a ship. It helps to prepare the candidate in the event that there is a medical emergency on board to enable them to do what is required to preserve life until proper medical attention can be given.
