This course covers the syllabus required by the STCW Code 1995 Table AVI/1-4 and is not a yacht restricted certificate.
Most people are surprised at how useful this course is, even those who have been at sea for some time.
The course covers important areas for any crew member; personal safety procedures, employment rights, sexual discrimination, pollution prevention, the effects of drug abuse, relations with others on board, responses to emergencies, on board organisation, amongst other matters.
Students carry out a practical ISM risk assessment exercise as part of the course.
