RYA training course
Many yachts have themselves certified as
RYA schools to legitimise Jet Ski operation. The official governing body for recreational boating in the UK, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), has created clear and exacting standards for the operation of personal watercraft. One of the key requirements of these rules is the employment on the yacht of a qualified PWC instructor.
There is considerable demand for crew with this important certificate. Having this qualification will considerably enhance your chances of employment on large yachts.
Pre-requisites for taking this course are the 1 day RYA PWC Licence, at least two years’ experience riding
personal water craft and a valid first aid certificate to have been taken within the last three years.
