During a recent bluewater open evening, we were surprised to learn that many yacht crew were unclear about the role of the Designated Person Ashore (DPA). As this is a very important person for crew to be familiar with on commercial yachts over 500 gross ton, we asked our in-house DPA Ken Dales to write a small article about "What is a Designated Person Ashore?" In order to enter the competition, all you have to do is answer 4 multiple choice questions on our DPA Quiz.
