Invitation To Engineer Officers

Are you considered to be one of the top seagoing Chief Engineer Officers or Electro-technical Officers in the Superyacht Industry?

27 August 2013
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in partnership with the Professional Yachting Association (PYA) is inviting the very top (currently seagoing or new-build standby) Engineer Officers in the industry, to form voluntary expert working groups. To be recognised by the Industry's most influential organisations as being at the very top of your profession is an unparalleled level of endorsement - and may even propel your career to another level!
Each group will work as a team on a virtual platform (so no physical attendance is necessary) offering expert seafaring opinion, supporting industry partners and working towards raising the standards of engineering at sea.
Acknowledging that any single career progression may be as individual as the seafarer, the IET has established high, but broad requirements to ensure a rich diversity in each group:

• Expert Chief Engineer: Currently serving at sea (or new build standby) with a minimum of 8 years professional experience.
• Expert Electro-technical Engineer: Currently serving at sea (or new build standby) with a minimum of 8 years professional experience (can include relevant shore-side experience).
• Expert AVIT Engineer: Currently serving at sea (or new build standby) with a minimum of 8 years professional experience (can include relevant shore-side experience).

If you think you have what it takes and you are interested in volunteering, please send your CV to:
