Matt grew up in Florida but never spent time on the water until his sister introduced him to yachting during the summers between his college semesters.

After graduating with a B.A. in Digital Media from the University of Central Florida, he jumped into yachting, spending 8 years on deck. After moving permanently to Fort Lauderdale and freelance-managing a 3 month refit, Matt joined bluewater as Marketing Coordinator in February 2016. He enjoys being able to pair what he went to school for with his experience working on yachts, and giving advice to those starting out in the industry.

His hobbies include road trips, cooking, weightlifting, and spending his weekends not being on watch.
