Yacht Show Season: Now Is The Time To Buy!

September on the Cote d’Azur is yacht show season, and this year’s events are attracting a whole lot of interest. And for good reason: not only will both the Cannes and Monaco shows be bigger and better than ever before, but, more importantly, it’s an excellent time to be buying a boat.

The ‘green shoots’ of industry recovery and cautious optimism of the last year have lent an air of positivity to the yacht market, while the lingering effects of the crisis and lending conditions have kept prices low. This has created an ideal set of conditions for those wanting to enter the yacht market or upgrade their current yacht: a buyer’s market where a general feeling of optimism about the future of yachting combines with low prices. These two things rarely come along at the same time.

This year, yacht owners are making their yachts ever more attractive to buyers with strategic price drops, and Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show provide the perfect opportunities to visit the yachts that are priced seriously to sell.

Bluewater has three such ‘must-see’ yachts on display during show season.

Cannes Yachting Festival

9 - 14 September 2014
At the newly rebranded and expanded Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14), bluewater invites you onboard to view Motor Yacht Tania T and Sailing Yacht Nefertiti.

Monaco Yacht Show

24 - 27 September 2014
Monaco Yacht Show is shaping up to be the largest and best of the Show’s 24 year history, with a record-breaking 115 yachts showing in a new expanded space. The new Lord Foster-designed Monaco Yacht Club will be a focus of attention, while the show’s brand strategy has developed to focus more on the end clientele: you, the yacht buyer. We can expect less tourists on the docks this year, but more yachts, more displays and more innovations.

Aspiring and current yacht owners from all over the world will be converging to find their next yacht, in this excellent buyer’s market. Make sure you are among them on the dock of the greatest yacht show on earth.

M/Y Tania T

41m - Mondo Marine
At an asking price of €5,490 (price drop: €1.4 million), the 41m Tania T is astonishingly priced to ensure that she is the next yacht in that size range to sell. Launched in 2003 by Mondo Marine, she has been lovingly maintained by her crew and is in fantastic condition, with refits in 2011/ 2012.

Her beautiful wooden interior offers three full beam cabins and two twins, sleeping 10 in total. This is the best value tri-deck on the market and an incredible chance for a new or upgrading yacht owner.

S/Y Nefertiti

27m - Swan 90
Please don’t miss the opportunity to visit Sailing Yacht Nefertiti, on display at both Cannes and Monaco. Attractively priced at € 6,200,000 (price drop: over half a million euros), Nefertiti is the newest Swan 90 for sale and is in immaculate condition.

Launched in 2010 by Finnish shipyard Nautor’s Swan, her clean lines, luxury and speed under sail make her simply the best Swan 90 in her class. While sailing she is capable of reaching speeds over 20 knots, and she has taken out 1st place finishes in both the 2013 and 2014 Swan Caribbean Challenge Trophy Regattas.

Her racing pedigree is matched by her comfort, with accommodations for up to 11 guests in 4 cabins in an elegant natural interior. Whether for racing or long-range family cruising, S/Y Nefertiti is simply the perfect sailing yacht of her size.
At the Monaco Yacht Show, running from the 24-27th September, Nefertiti will be on display again-if not already snapped up at Cannes!

M/Y Nassima

50m - Acico Yachts
The 50m motoryacht Nassima from Acico Yachts will be on offer at MYS, at an asking price of €23, 900 000. This is a ‘must-visit’ yacht for anyone looking for a fast, long-range and yet truly luxurious motoryacht.

A classic, timeless design by Oliver van Meer features an extraordinary stern garage for a car and two motor bikes, a large sundeck, gym and a large aquarium separating the main salon from the aft deck.

With a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising average of 14, Nassima’s range at 10 knots is 8,600 miles, making this the perfect world cruising yacht. Her stunning modern interior full of light and clean lines is unusual in layout, and all the more special for it- a wonderful vessel to cruise the oceans with family and friends.
